Aico EI181 Variable 12V to 24V DC Powered Ionisation Smoke Alarm with 9V Battery Back Up
The Aico EI181 is a variable power smoke alarm that is powered by 12V to 24V. The unit has a 9V Alkaline battery back-up which can last up to 4 years when in standby and is capable of powering the alarms for up to 2 years in the absence of mains power.
Features and Benefits
The alarm is triggered when smoke enters the alarm
Alarm is supplied with an Easi-fit base to ensure quick and easy installation.
The Easi-fit connects both mains power and battery as the alarm is fitted
Integral volt-free relays are used which means it can be used to switch into a burglar alarm panel
Green light indicated mains power
Red light flashes every 40 seconds to confirm automatic self tests are being carried out
Red light flashes rapidly when unit is triggered
A short push on the Test/Hush button is used to silence false alarms
A press and hold action on the Test/Hush button performs a self test
When in Test mode the alarm will perform a self test and sound the horn
When the unit is in Hush mode this activates a 10 minute reduced sensitivity period to overcome false alarms.
The Hush mode automatically resets to normal after the 10 minute period
When interconnected the unit will trigger all alarms in the system to trigger
Only the triggered alarm will flash when interconnected into a system
When the battery needs replacing the unit will beep every 40 seconds
Technical Specification
